Sometimes writers will ask me to refer them to my publisher or my agent! My policy
is, I don't refer people to my publisher or my agent. Because I'm busy with my day job, family life, reviewing books
on my blog, and doing my own writing, I don't have time to read unpublished work and endorse it, or refer people to my publisher
or my literary agent. If you want to get published,
I recommend you join a professional writers' organization. Since I write Christian romance, both Romance Writers of America and American Christian Fiction Writers have helped me immensely in my publication journey. Plus, both of these groups have contests - it's possible your work can
be read by a published author or an agent/editor if you enter. I do volunteer to judge contests every year, so that's my way
of helping others to get their work published. Also, by joining a professional writers' organization, you'll come into contact
with like-minded individuals. When you congregate with other published and pre-published people, you'll develop friendships
and people will share writing tips and information with you!
