I really enjoyed both of Jennifer Rogers Spinola’s books and I hope she does well. I also read Lynn Austin’s Wonderland Creek. The first part of the book had me laughing until I cried and the second part was more serious but so well written. It was intriguing learning about them delivering library books on horseback.
    Thanks for posting this Cecelia!

    Hi, Judy

I’m glad you stopped by to comment. I’ve read Jenny’s first book, but I haven’t read the Sweet Potato Pie book yet. I really enjoyed Southern Fried Sushi. Lynn Austin’s book does sound intriguing! Delivering library book on horseback? Oh my!!

It was during the depressions and Franklin D. Roosevelt began a program called the Pack Horse Librarians.
It was a really interesting book. Funny too. She couldn’t understand why her boyfriend broke up with her for reading a book during a funeral, being his family owned the funeral home he felt it was even worse of her. And she was sure her uncle was in the mafia so when she was with her uncle and aunt going to Kentucky and his car backfired…she ducked sure it was the mob after them. I laughed until I cried in the beginning and then the next part gets serious when someone tries to murder the Librarian where she went.

Melanie, it was my pleasure. I’d noticed that most of the announcements just listed the titles and authors and publishers, but not the covers! I hope others enjoy seeing the covers, too!

Judy, that book sounds like a good read. I’ll need to keep that title in mind for the future.

Hey, Gina! Yes, it was time-consuming, but, I did it because…THE COVERS LOOK SO PRETTY! 🙂

I have this fetish about having a pretty/nice-looking blog with lots of nice images. I just thought it looked kinda dry and ordinary, just having plain text!

I’m working on my blog and came across The Merchant’s Daughter. I really enjoyed that books as well. Good thing I’m not having to choose a winner because I enjoy most every book I read.

Incredible! Wow, this looks so great, Cecelia. Thank you!! I’ve read several of the titles, and I think the finalists are perfect this year (um, not because of me but because I’ve read many of them and know they’re awesome LOL).

Wow Cecelia, your blog looks so festive. I am ashamed. I have only read one of the books on the list. I would love to read each one. Thank you for sharing The Christy Awards.

Tea, don’t feel bad. I, too, have only read one book on the list. I haven’t been signing up for blog tours lately, which is why I haven’t read many of them.

Yes, thanks for the compliment. I do agree that the blog post looks very festive!

I hope you have a blessed day!
