John’s Quest – Now Available On Kindle And Other E-readers

My novel, John’s Quest, is now available on Kindle and other e-readers!

It’s amazing how quickly life can change. Overnight, Monica Crawford finds her neatly organized world turned upside down. Her sister abandons her blind son, Scotty, leaving him on Monica’s doorstep. Caring for a handicapped child brings unexpected conflict-but unexpected joy as well. When John French volunteers to tutor Scotty, he finds himself irresistibly drawn to Monica. But John and Monica are very different. She is a strong believer, determined to live her life for Christ. John is an agnostic who wants nothing to do with God.Will John see the light? Will Monica realize that sometimes letting go of a dream is the way to achieve it? Only in full surrender will either of them be happy- whether they end up together or alone.

Milk Money – Now Available On Kindle!

My novel, Milk Money, is now available on Kindle! Other outlets that it can be found is eChristian.com, CBD.com, kobobooks.com, Apple’s iBookstore, and ebookstore.sony.com. Out of all of the books that I’ve had published, this one is my personal favorite! If you read it, let me know if you liked it!

Emily can’t keep running her dairy farm all alone. When her dad dies, Emily Cooper must work hard to save the family farm. She manages—until the day a CPA pulls in her driveway and announces he’s there to do an audit. Franklin Reese is appalled at the lack of interest the Cooper women have in the financial aspect of their livelihood, but he dives in, determined to help them learn. The further he looks into Mr. Cooper’s dealings, however, the more uncomfortable he becomes. Can he uncover the truth of the situation and still earn the love of the amazing Emily Cooper? Or will issues in Franklin’s own life keep them apart, even after the farm is taken care of?

A Reader Compared Me To Debbie Macomber! :-)

I received the following email recently from a reader:

Hi Cecelia ~
I must tell you that I thoroughly enjoyed Cheasapeake Weddings–John’s Quest, Milk Money and Bittersweet Memories. I don’t know which is my favorite. I’ve enjoyed them all! I love the way you write–so clean, sweet and memorable. Reminds me of Debbie Maccomber.

Thanks for the awesome email, Beverly! I enjoyed hearing about how much you enjoyed my stories and I loved that you compared me to Debbie! She’s a great author, and I’ve never had anybody to compare me to her before!

First Mates Now Available On The Kindle And The Nook! :-)

My Love Inspired title, First Mates, is available to order on the Nook and the Kindle. If you haven’t already read this story, be sure to download it and tell me what you think about this tale that was inspired by my multiple cruise ship trips!

A cruise around the Caribbean offered just what Rainy Jackson needed to get over her faithless ex-fiancé—sun, swimming and solitude. As the heat sank into her bones, she began to feel interest in the world again…and in handsome fellow passenger Winston Michaels.

Winston had also hoped for time alone to reflect. But finding a friend in faith in the lovely Rainy helped him deal with his twin sister’s death without relying on unhealthy means of deadening the pain. And Winston’s outlook brightened further when dates back home in Miami brought him and Rainy even closer. Would Rainy be the one to share Winston’s life voyage?

Wonderful Words About Chesapeake Weddings! :-)

La Verne Ford wrote the following comment in yesterday’s blog post:
The Chesapeake Weddings three-in-one collection is wonderful so far. I am now reading Bittersweet Memeories. They are [an] inspiration to me and very encouraging. They have reached the very core of my heart.

La Verne, thanks for the kind words. I’ve heard many positive things about Chesapeake Weddings and I’m glad so many people have enjoyed the stories.

Just wanted to point out that Chesapeake Weddings is still available at christianbook.com. Also, I’m still working on other projects. One is sitting at a publisher, and I’m waiting to hear from them. I’m also talking to a literary agent about another proposal. Hopefully, and prayerfully, I’ll get a contract for another novel in 2011! 🙂

Cheap Stocking Stuffer Idea – Only 99 cents

I wanted to mention that my novel collection, Chesapeake Weddings, is on sale at Christianbook.com for only 99 cents! It’s a three-book deal all under one beautiful paperback cover and it’s less than one dollar! If you’re looking for cheap deals to use as stocking stuffers this year, then you should consider my book! It’d make a great gift for friends and church members!

Karen has been deceived by her fianci, and now she’s expected to trust a neighbor who knows too much of her business. Can God rebuild their tattered lives with new loves?

Merry Christmas!

A Few Things…

A reader left the following comment about my novel, Bittersweet Memories, here on my blog. I just wanted to share her comment with the rest of you:
Hi Cecelia,

My daughter, Angel, is from Uganda. She is learning English and absolutely does not like to read… That is, until I discovered your novel, Bittersweet Memories, at a book exchange during my church’s annual Ladies Retreat this year. I brought it home to her and her nose has been stuck in it every since! She just finished it the Friday after Thanksgiving. This is the FIRST book that she has enjoyed reading without my having to prompt her…I didn’t have to tell her once to pick it up, she did it all on her own! Thank you for writing such an inspiring story with wonderful Christian morals for her to read. We look forward to reading more of your books!

Blessings,
Erika and daughter, Angel, in Texas

I was interviewed on the Romance Slam Jam Blog recently. Stop by and check it out and leave a comment!

I’m enjoying the Christmas Season but I’m just a bit bummed that I’m not currently contracted for any novels. I do have a couple of things floating around out there, plus, I’m working on a submission to send to a literary agent within the next month or so.

Chesapeake Weddings – Only $2.79!!!

You can now purchase Chesapeake Weddings at Christianbook.com for only $2.79! Where else can you buy a brand-new 367-page paperback book for less than $3.00??

Purchase multiple copies to use as stocking stuffers! Do your Christmas shopping a bit early and buy my book! You can’t beat that price, and, just in case you can’t recall what my book’s about, here’s the summary:

Relax along Maryland’s Chesapeake Bay as you read about three strong African American women who suddenly face upheaval in life. Monica is caring for her abandoned nephew and trying to pick the proper tutor for him. Emily is struggling to save the family farm when a CPA turns up to do an audit. Karen has been deceived by her fiancé, and now she’s expected to trust a neighbor who knows too much of her business. Can God rebuild their tattered lives with new loves?

Life sends three African American women into a tailspin. Monica’s blind nephew has been abandoned with her. Emily works to save her dairy farm after her father dies. Karen’s fiancé turned into an embezzler. Can these women let God rebuild their tattered hopes when new romances unexpectedly enter their lives?
