Snow!

We’re in the midst of a massive snowstorm in Maryland! We don’t get snow very often – so when we get a lot – it’s a BIG deal! Most schools and offices are closed. My son had a dentist appointment this morning and the doc called last night to cancel. Here’s a pic of me standing in the snow this morning:

Here’s a video of the snow falling. Isn’t it pretty? I’m glad that my Christmas lights were still up!

Christmas Tree

I hope all of you are enjoying your holiday season! Have you put up your Christmas tree? If so, I’d love to see a picture of it!

We haven’t put up a tree since our son lost interest – which happened several years ago.

I had the urge for a tree, but didn’t want a big one. I bought a small inexpensive tree from Amazon and hung some lights from our bedroom window!

Our son finished his exams last Friday – so he’s HOME for winter break!

We attended a Christmas tree lighting in our downtown area on December 6th (Saint Nicholas Day). It was SO COLD! We had to bundle up. Santa was there, handing out candy to the kids. And the mayor of our town sang some songs.

Instead of our traditional Thanksgiving, we ate at a restaurant. It was so delicious! I had turkey, stuffing, greens and mashed potatoes. Some of the folks in our group had seafood. Here’s a few pics from our gathering!
