I’m doing another book giveaway. When you leave your comment, I’d like you to answer a question for me: who is your favorite Christian fiction author, and why is that author your favorite? ALSO, WHEN YOU COMMENT, PLEASE LEAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS SO THAT I CAN CONTACT YOU! Also, let me know which novel you’d like to win when you leave your comment!
If you have more than one favorite, you can name all of them!
Here are the new/slightly used books I’m giving away this time. I’ve reviewed most of these titles on my blog, so you can do a search if you’d like to see what I said about these books.
Thr3e by Ted Dekker
A Moment Of Weakness by Karen Kingsbury
Defining Moments by Jacquelin Thomas
Piercing The Darkness by Frank Peretti
The Winter Pearl by Molly Noble Bull
Black by Ted Dekker
Tilly by Frank Peretti
Flabbergasted by Ray Blackston
John’s Quest by Cecelia Dowdy – I’m giving away five copies of my own novel!
This is a tough question but I think i would say Gilbert Morris is my favourite authour. I love the way he includes history in his series and I learn about a time period and he writes a great book. Im waiting for a trivia question who was Rolland Garros (sp) named after where the french open is played. its named after a French flying ace. I learnt this from One of the books Gilbert Morris wrote.
I would love to enter to win John’s Quest YOur book.
i love Gilbert Morris too! I’ve read ALL of his books (except his series for young kids) and I’ve loved them all. His historical fiction helped to influence me to change my major to history. I also love Angela Hunt’s books because like her tagline you always find something unexpected. And as for chick lit I love Laura Jensen Walker and Kristen billerbeck.
Please enter me for Thr3e, Black and A Moment of Weakness! Thanks!
My favorite fiction authors are Karen Kingsbury and Dee Henderson. They are my favorites because I find it difficult to put down books either of them have written. Henderson evokes suspense while Kingsbury speaks to my heart. I would love to be entered in your book give away contest. Thank you. Dawn dmthomason13@hotmail.com
Oh, I’ve never read anything by Jaqueline Thomas. The rest I either own or have read. (Oh, would love yours, too.) Can you remedy that? 😛
My favorite Christian author would have to be C. S. Lewis, I guess, although Tolkien is my favorite author, but he didn’t tout his work as Christian (although the worldview is there). Living authors, my favorite is Frank Creed, closely followed by MaryLu Tyndall. Then a whole lot of authors are bunched up and I can’t decide who I like best. Seems like my favorites are often the ones I am currently reading! LOL

(Can you delete my first post and put this one instead? I didn’t answer right)
I love so many books that it is hard to chooose a favorite. I think I would have to choose C. S. Lewis, though, since Tolkien didn’t think of his writing as Christian. First of all, I think Lewis was one of the very few who could pull off allegory well and make it totally enjoyable at the same time. His fantasies had a remarkable childlike wonder in them, captured the faith of a child and created an adult series that even young children would find enthralling. I love the many levels of his work, including the Screwtape Letters and the Space Trilogy.
I would love to have a copy of John’s Quest or The Winter Pearl. Thank you! If not those, then Tilly or anything else!

I have several favorites, but if I had to choose just one it would be Lynn Austin. I love the way she writes in the past and present with different characters in her books. “Eve’s Daughters” and “All She Ever Wanted” are 2 examples of this particular style. But then, I also love her Chronicles of the King series–also excellent reading! :o)
I love so many Christian fiction authors, it is really difficult to pick one. In women’s fiction, I’d have to say Victoria Christopher Murray and Tia McCollors. In suspense, I’d have to say Susan Meissner, Randy Alcorn, and Brandt Dobson. In romantic suspense, I’d have to say Terri Blackstock and Margaret Daley. In romance/chick-lit, I’d have to say Susan May Warren and Angela Benson.
I’d love to receive your book or Jacquelin Thomas’s.
Oh my goodness! Such a hard question!!
There are so many good authors that I read every book they write!
Francine Rivers would have to be my all time favorite, her books are so well written to hit you deep in the heart just right where you need it. It is amazing to me that it does that for almost every different person who read them.
Karen Kingsbury as well, she has a fiction where you get to know the peson
Lynn Austin is great as well and Tricia Goyer too
Susan Meissner too has become a favorite!
I have not read any of yours, but maybe that will change!
martha (at) lclink (dot) com
It’s so hard to choose so I’ll go with my current favorite, Denise Hunter. She takes real life topics that are hard to talk about and writes touching stories that draw you in. When I start reading one of her books, I can’t stop until it’s finished, they’re so good!
I would also like to win your new book Cecelia.
My fave author for a long time was Karen Kingsbury, but I now prefer Deb Raney or Robin Lee Hatcher.
I enjoy reading Rene Gutteridge and Robin Caroll.
I don’t have any of the books that you have listed for your giveaway and I’m sure I’d enjoy any one of them.

Victoria Christopher Murray is my absolute favorite author period, but I hate to leave out the list of others I so love…like you.
I’d like to have another copy of your book for our new public library. The pickins are slim as they build the catalogue.
I’ll be giving away books on my blog starting tomorrow.

If I win you can email me at

Thanks!
I think I’d have to say Francine Rivers, due to her Mark of the Lion series, that is probably my all time favorite Christian series. Deep characters, amazing story line, lots of twists and true to life/historical. I came away feeling that I knew, loved and respected the main character, Hadassah…and that she would forever stay with me as a role model of righteousness.
I’ve been wanting to read Molly Bull’s Winter Pearl and would like to be entered in that drawing please. Thanks for this opportunity…and you can contact me at miralee at gorge dot net if I win. Miralee Ferrell
Hey Cecelia –
I promise I didn’t steal Rhonda’s answer, but I love Victoria Christopher Murray, too. Gotta go out and get her new one. Hope to see you soon.
And you can enter me for any of Dekker’s or Peretti’s books.

I do have a hard time deciding who my favorite author is. I used to think it was Janette Oke: I still love her writings. Then Louise M Gouge came out with her books. Each one that comes out is better than the one before it and I didn’t think that was possible, for a next one to be better. Then I started reading ones I’d never heard of before, (maybe they weren’t) like Cheryl Wyatt and Tiffany (Amber Miller)Stockton are great too. Julie Lessman is right among these for those same reasons. All of these are very easy to just jump into the story as if you have been right along side them all along and they are easy reading but have their theme woven through so well their points come across great. I can’t wait for any of their next books to come out. I just read two of John Aubrey Anderson’s books that runner up to Frank Peretti. Keeps us reading practically till it is the end, suspenseful. Maybe I just have to agree with Cathikin and anyone else who loves the author of the current read because they have all been good.
There are only two authors on the list this time that I don’t have any of their books: Black by Ted Dekker and Flabbergasted Ray Blackston so could I enter to win one of theirs? Thanks so much.

I would have to say my favorite Christian author is Dee Henderson. She does such a wonderful job with developing her characters and crafting a great plot.
That is a hard question, right now my favorite is Sharon Hinck. Her writing style is similiar to mine, and I love her restorer books! They’re gutsy and imaginitive! Her stories make me remember that i can write the impossible and make it a believable adventure.
I also love her mom lit books, as a family orianted woman i saw a lot of my own life in her stories, especially Becky Miller. I dont have three kids yet, but I can see my life being just like hers.

My favorite author right now is Sharon Hinck. I love her books. They are adventurous but are also spiritually inspiring. Her second novel on the restorer series has actually helped me go deeper in my worship with God. I would love a copy of John’s Quest. brideofchrist03@yahoo.com
Amy
One of my favorite authors is W. Dale Cramer, who goes to my church – but that’s not why he’s a favorite! Two of his books have won the Christy Award, and another was on CBD’s New & Recommended list, and for good reason. He has a gift with words, visual images, and telling a wonderful story.
I discover new favorites as I read, but two others are Lisa Samson and Cindy Martinusen.
I read your review of The Winter Pearl by Molly Noble Bull and would love to win it. I also enjoyed John’s Quest by the way, but I already have it.
Thank you, Cecelia!
Mine would have to be Margaret Daly, I discovered her about a year ago and have read all her releases since. I also visit her blog daily, where she always introduces me to new authors.
I think it’d have to be Janette Oke, she was the first Christian author I ever read, so as with other things your first seems to stick with you. I also love Grace Livingston Hill.
I’d love your book, but would take any of these too:
Thr3e by Ted Dekker
A Moment Of Weakness by Karen Kingsbury
Defining Moments by Jacquelin Thomas
The Winter Pearl by Molly Noble Bull
Tilly by Frank Peretti

My favorite author is Karen Kingsbury. I like closing the back cover and feeling like I learned a lesson and walked in someone else’s shoes for a short amount of time. Her books challenge us to live better.

I would have to say Karen Kingsbury. I recently took up reading as my new hobby and haven’t had a chance to read alot of the other’s work. I read Karen’s “A Thousand Tomarrow’s” and loved it, I felt I knew these char. and was right in the story with them. I loved the way she brought a realness in her story and compassion that toughed my heart. I would love to be included in this contest to read books by other authors also. Thanks, photoquest@bellsouth.net
Hmmm. Hard question. I really enoy Francine Rivers, Randy Alcorn, Ted Dekker, but my latest favorite is Melanie Wells.
I’d like your book, Flabbergaste, or the Winter Pearl.
Thanks!

My current favorite is Neta Jackson, I am reading her Yada Yada Prayer group series, and loving them. I can relate to the not so perfect Christian women in the stories.
I am new to the Christian Fiction genre, willing to accept anything you want to throw my way.
