I just wanted to wish everybody a Happy New Year! Do any of you have resolutions? I guess, mine would be that I need to make more of an effort to read my Bible daily (I tend to skip days if I’m tired or on deadline). Also, I want to finish this project within the first quarter of the year to submit to agents. I know my chances of selling this project are grim since the state of publishing has taken a nosedive lately!
Feel free to share your thoughts about the the Old Year (2008) and the New Year (2009). Did you keep your resolutions last year (or, better yet, can you even remember last year’s resolutions?) What are your resolutions for 2009?
My New Year’s Resolution: Make more time for Jesus! May God bless you and your blog!
I don’t usually make New Year’s Resolutions, but this year I joined a group of women who are memorizing Scripture each month–then sharing with each other which Scriptures they chose. 12 months, 12 more bits of God’s word hid in my heart.
May you have a very happy and healthy new year…..Cindi

Cecelia,
I can’t remember what I resolved to do last year other than lose weight. That’s a standing resolution.
Looking forward to hearing you’ve finished that book. Don’t speak death over it. You know God shows up when you have the faith to believe he can.
I won’t be making big goals for the year 2009. (Last year I made 7 big goals, and reach none of them.) Instead, I will be making mini-goals that help me to redeem the time. (see my post here: http://psalm37v4.blogspot.com/2008/12/2009-mini-goals.html)
I resolved to complete a novel by the end of this year, and I did! I resolved to make more time for Bible reading and studying God’s Word, and I have. I am “on fire” for learning all I can from His Word. Blessing for a Happy Writing New Year! (http://barbarajrobinson.blogspot.com/)
