Tired!

Man, am I tired! I went Christmas shopping for my three-year-old today! If you read this old blog entry, you know how much I HATE SHOPPING!

I hope he enjoys his gifts. We’re not going overboard too much, but felt we needed to have something to give to our child this holiday season!

Do any of your children have a long list of gifts? What did your children request for Christmas?

My children are greedy. They want so many things that I don’t even think I have enough room in this comment box to list them all. I’m trying to get them to understand that Christmas means more than just receiving gifts. Maybe next year I’ll get them involved in some Christmas charitable events so that they can see that not everybody is as fortunate as they are!

When my children were small they spend much time looking through what we called the “wish books”. That is the sale catalogs that used to come. I had them circle in their own color or initial their circle so I’d know whose circle it was and go through it when they weren’t looking. It eliminated the beg beg beg and I could see without pressure. Of course, the catalogs were covered with circles so I can’t say what they asked for most. Now, sadly, the grand kids are from NC to CO apart from me so I don’t get in on the begging. (sad face).
