I can’t say I agree. I wouldn’t want to read about vampires because it is unrealistic. I remember reading about that guy from The Twilight and how a fan went up to him and asked him to bite her. He said that she thought he was an actual vampire. And that’s just awful.
In some ways Amish fiction could be escapism but at least you can go and actually see such people. You could also join their community if you took their ways… I guess.
So between the two I’d say Amish is more realistic and something I’d rather read about.

I find it interesting that you combined these two genres in the same blog entry. Not sure I would enjoy vampire fiction, but might at some time read one, as far as the Amish… I enjoyed Mindy Starns Clark’s book, Shadow of Lancaster County.

Hi, Holly. The only reason I combined the two in one blog entry is because I’m referencing – pointing my blog readers – to another blog entry by Novel Journey…and that was the subject of THEIR blog entry!

Adge, all I can say about the Twilight fan wanting Edward to bite her because she thought he was a real vampire…mentally deranged! You probably can’t blame Twilight, the actor, or the contents of the book or movie for her assumption! She probably has some sort of mental problem and, for some reason, thinks that all stuff in TV shows and movies are real?
