Barbour rejected my three-book idea proposal yesterday! Apparently, according to their blog, they rejected lots of people!
Oh well, I guess it’s back to the drawing board! Also, it’s time to go fishing!

Sorry Cecelia! I pray that God will inspire you with new ideas
I’m sorry Cecelia. I just got a rejection from an agent on a full so I have an idea of how you’re feeling right now. *sympathetic smile*
I hope you find another great idea you love!
Hugs.
Cecilia:
Hang in there! Publishers are so deluded with manuscripts that they have a very difficult time finding the good among all the bad and mediocre. They often make mistakes. I know exactly what you feel and it is disheartening. I spent four years getting rejection after rejection on my new novel, but finally the Lord opened the door for me and I got published late last year. It’s Angela 1: Starting Over (the first of three set in a coastal Texas high school). If you would like to check it out (to see how offbeat and hard to get published it is) please follow the link to my website. Thanks, and best wishes! If you really believe strongly in your project, there is still hope for it.
Cecelia, hang in there! Rejection is the story that’s as old as time in publishing, and no matter the circumstance, no matter how kindly worded, rejection is still “Rejection” – and it stings worse than a wasp. God bless! Marianne – a fellow FHL member.:-)
