“Do not turn to mediums or necromancers; do not seek them out, and so make yourselves unclean by them: I am the Lord your God.
Have you ever visited a psychic/medium and regretted it later?
Disclaimer:
***Please note that this is based upon my personal experience, and nothing more. I’ve had a couple of emails from a blog reader, stating that I should go into more detail as to why we shouldn’t visit a psychic. You can open yourself up to a whole forbidden world that could do tons of damage – affecting your salvation. I didn’t go into this reasoning in this blog post since I’m talking about one isolated incident that happened to me. I don’t know or understand the spirit world and we really need to rely on Jesus, trust in HIM with our future. I invite you to respond accordingly with your own experiences – it’s hard to give more depth to this blog post since it’s a personal blog post that happened to me a long time ago…and I only did this one time (that was enough for me to learn to not do this again!). My reasoning about not visiting a psychic is minor compared to what’s happened to others. Also, this is a subject matter that is so broad – there are probably thousands upon thousands of books out there about this subject. It’s hard to cover every aspect in just one blog post – I can only speak about what happened to me – for further insight, I invite you to read the comments or post your own comment about your own experience (or experiences of others if you feel led to do that).
***I also wanted to point out that one of the commenters mentioned that a lot of psychics are scam artists. Many people become addicted to calling psychic hotlines and such. Again, I didn’t mention this in my blog post, but it is a VERY IMPORTANT FACT and is mentioned in the comments. Feel free to share your thoughts!
Several years ago, I took a trip alone to New Orleans. At the time, I was dating somebody and I was head-over-heels in love with this person. I wanted us to get married. I wanted this marriage to happen so badly that I visited a psychic in the French Quarter. I did this knowing it was wrong, but, I figured if she predicted this wedding, well, it would just make me feel better, make me feel more sure about my future. She asked me if I wanted to do tarot or palm reading. I told her I didn’t know. So she chose palm reading.
She told me to close my eyes and make a wish. I wished for marriage to my boyfriend. When I opened my eyes, she said in a soft voice, “Your wish is going to come true.” My heart jumped when I heard this. She then said, “The wish that you made about the man will come true.” She said we’d have four children. Surprisingly, she told me things about myself that were true. She even accurately predicted some things that would happen to me later that summer.
So, I hung onto the hope of things working out in my romantic relationship. I figured the psychic had to be right about my budding romance, after all, she’d accurately predicted other things that had happened in my life. When my euphoric romance abruptly ended several months later, I was stunned! The first thing I thought during the breakup was, “But that psychic said we’d get married!” It was horrible, and that false hope made things so much worse and I also regretted visiting that psychic! I begged the Lord for forgiveness and since then, when the subject comes up, I’ve always advised others not to dabble with psychics.
I was raised with the knowledge that we should avoid psychics. That was the first and only time that I’d ever done this.
So, have you ever visited a psychic and regretted it later? Leave a comment!
Cecelia, the end of that romance may have been the better alternative. I’m sure God has a better plan for you than that man … and I’m sure you know that :o).
I went to a local writer’s meeting this past year where a psychic was featured (I hadn’t known when I decided to go). She seemed to know many things and kept looking at me when she talked about prayer. Probably cause I was praying through the whole meeting. On the way home, I played some Christian music, but my CD player made it garbled (like in a freaky movie) and it wouldn’t stop til I prayed over it. Never went back to this group. I’ll stick with ACFW as my primary writer’s group.
CB, I know exactly what you mean!
I used to attend local writers’ conferences and they’d use tarot card readings as well as “petra rock” (I think that’s what the rocks were called?) readings. I’ve also been to some conferences that had psychics and “white witches” in attendance.
I never participated in any of this since my one and only time going to a psychic was the time outlined in my blog post.
That man was not the right man for me. I’m pretty sure the marriage between us, if it had happened, would’ve ended. Believe me, it would have!
Cheri, a blog reader, left me this comment. She was not able to post it, but, I’ve copied and pasted it here on her behalf. I had to break it up into two comments because of the length: Your blog needs more facts and substance. It appears you only regretted going to a Psychic because you were unhappy with the reading you received…not because God had convicted you of going there in the first place. I wanted to write you because during my rebellion years as I turned my back on God, I worked as a professional psychic. At first it was because I was offered a job with one of the psychic phone lines for a generous amount of money, and I could work from home and set my own hours. It was great not to have to pay for childcare. While the public pictured psychics sitting in front of candles in a huge building full of psychics, the truth was they were probably wearing their pajamas sitting in their recliner sipping coffee. One lady used to be heard washing dishes while being so “spiritual”, lol! Out of over 7,000 psychics on our line they figured less that 10% were really psychics. They were told to say anything they wanted to because they probably would never talk to that person again anyways. For tarot cards they were told to buy the book and randomly read from pages for their reading. 90% of the calls were from women wanting to hear that this was the man they were going to marry. 10% were willing to pay $4.99 a minute to buy hope. One man said they were coming to auction off his farm at 6 am and he used the last few dollars he had to call and ask how he could stop it. It broke my heart. The first call I took was from a young man who intended to kill himself. I never let them give me information, and I was one of the true psychics, certified through the American Association of Professional Psychics and several other affiliations after stringent testing. My Grandmother had the gift and so did my mother and great grandmother. My grandmother was a strong Christian, as was my great grandmother, and they tried hard NOT to “see things”, because God frowned upon it. I often wondered what the difference was between being a psychic and a prophetess. As I spoke to this man I knew there was a gun sitting next to him. After an hour of talking to him, and praying with him, he decided to go back to college and become a psychologist as he had planned, and was going to his mother’s to make amends as soon as he hung up.
Hey since u are a psychic can u possibly talk with me?
As I continued with my readings I developed a large group of followers and was highly recommended. I was even on the Leeza Gibbons Show once, because long before Sylvia Brown and John Edwards, I was receiving readings from people who crossed over to the other side. My readings were 90% accurate. I explained before I began that Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all saw the same events but reported them differently. No two psychics would be exactly alike. And as surely as I see something happening, they had the free will to change it. If I saw a car accident happening as they got off work and rounded the corner onto their street, they could choose to stop at the store and not be there at that time…making it not happen. If I saw them marrying someone who was going to be abusive, they could choose also not to marry him…taking him out of the equation.
Many times I did readings for people who professed to be Christians, but wanted to know what their future held, or how to proceed with a decision they had to make. I reasoned I was doing God’s work in giving these people hope. I never prayed to Satan, practiced the dark arts, or was a witch.
However, when I returned to God I had a preacher tell me I had committed the only sin for which I could not be forgiven. I suffered with that and begged God to forgive me. I was shunned by this church because of my past involvement, and almost believed them. If I had I would have left and continued with my readings and never tried to go back to church again…but God had other plans. HE CALLED ME BACK TO HIM. I gave up my readings only because God asked me to, and I felt that if Jesus could give up his life for me, it was a small request for Him to ask in return. I don’t understand the spiritual world, and none of us will truly know why or how it works until we die. I know my grandmother and great grandmother were mighty prayer warriors, strong women of God, who spoke in tongues and fought the devil with all they had. I also agree there are many who do readings from familiar spirits, and conjure up the dead, and operate under the gifts of the enemy.
You open a can of worms with your blog that can be argued many ways. I suggest that you pray up, do your research, talk to real certified psychics (not as a reading, but as research) and get your facts together. Your blog sounded more like you were regretting the reading just because you didn’t like the results with the boyfriend. You got your hopes up for nothing. That is no reason to regret it…regret it because if grieves the Holy Spirit. Regret it because you disobeyed God. Regret it because you could have been drawn into a world far beyond your ability to understand it, or deal with the evil effects of demons and possession that can come with something like that…especially in Louisiana where they practice dark magic. There are many seemingly innocent temptations out there…like asking if you will marry the man you think is “the” one, or ghost hunting, or getting readings from the other side, that goes along with this topic. The enemy hates to be exposed and with such entries comes opposition. Are you ready for all of that?
I put that away when I came home to Jesus. I refuse to do any readings for anyone, and have been extremely cautious about who I speak to about this. Even as strong as I am in the Lord, I still don’t feel ready to take on a blog about it. I have been asked to many times. I have lived in haunted houses, and I don’t want to discuss anything that will give attention to the Horned One of Hell, no matter how popular it is. It IS a popular subject, I know. But unless you have lived it, you cannot possibly understand why God has told us to stay away from it.
Please don’t take this as an argument. Maybe just a suggestion or warning. In Christ’s Love, Cheri
Hi Cheri,
I wholeheartedly agree with you in regards to seeking out a Psychic or doing readings for desperate people looking for hope. I feel relying on psychic readings or doing it for entertainment is against God and his teachings. I feel the answers are always with in us because that is where God truly lives in each and every one of US!!!!! I have learned the hard way in regards to delving into the abyss. It is I believe a never ending cycle into nothingness. No truth is found there. It is only we decide to rely on God and look with in is where are all the true and real answers to all our burning questions and our hearts desires. Our body, mind and heart does not lie. I am a firm believer in God and have faith in myself. All the answers that anyone of us seeks always lies with in our hearts. All we have to do is open our hearts to God and there is what truly means of living our lives like Heaven on Earth. I wholeheartedly believe and have faith that is possible and is very true. That is what God wants for each and every one of us. That is our birth rite. All we need to do is learn the tools to get there. I believe of what we once thought was impossible is made possible when having full faith in God and ourselves !!!!!
Jess
Cheri, we’ve spoken via email and I’ve placed a disclaimer on this blog post. I appreciate your insight and I just want my bloggers to know that there are more reasons – more reasons than I can even imagine to outline on this blog – as to why we should not visit psychics…
~Cecelia Dowdy~
A simple reason not to visit a psychic …the Bible forbids all those sorts of things: Mediums, astrologers, etc. We are to trust only God and any time we deviate from that even slightly we’re turning to the powers of darkness. Satan and his demons.
Thanks much for commenting, Jeannie. I agree with you.
The Bible plainly tells us to avoid “mediums (read psychics, or fortune tellers, etc) or necromancers” Leviticus 19:31
That advice is just as true today as it was in old testament times.
I have never visited one, BUT, I spent 15 years working for and with a Christian radio station as announcer, engineer, etc, and I could tell you stories! I do know first hand the power Satan has. I’ve dealt with it.
Psychics do in fact have power. But it is from the evil one. Those who get tied up with these individuals will be lead deeper and deeper into darkness. And probably deeper and deeper into debt.
Please, all who read this. Do not become involved with them.
Danlen
Hi Danlen and Cheri,
Would you be able to email me some of your experiences? I called a psychic and now I’m kind of freaked out but still have the urge to call back anyways, its scaring me. I am a Christian, i go to church every Sunday and receive prayer. I pray on my own as well… Things just have been really tough on me lately and I didnt know and still dont know what to do.. I feel like God can’t hear me 🙁
Hi, Killey
I’m glad you left a comment. Since this blog post is over two years old, I’m not sure if Danlen or Cheri have seen your comment. I sent you an email – Danlen did leave the link to his website on his comment, so, you might want to click on his name to get to his site. Email me back if you wish!
Danlen, I’m glad you commented. Feel free to leave another comment about the stories you’ve heard regarding the dangers of following Satan. I’m sure it’s a deep, dark, evil world and I can only imagine how awful it must be.
Cheri (another commenter) left some great insight for me, and we’ve emailed one another. She had lots of stories to share too – stuff that would curl my toes and make me have insomnia and nightmares for months if I’d ever experienced what she did.
What happened to me was very minor compared to the dangers that others have gone through (as I explained in my disclaimer at the beginning of this blog post.)
Thank you for sharing your blog. I too had an experience, but at the time
I didn’t realize it was under the umbrella of “psychic.” I saw an article in the
Parade. It talked about numerology. I actually thought it was a game, so I
sent in my $15 with my name. What I got back was sooo creepy. It told me things
about myself that I didn’t even want to admit. That’s when I realized what it was. I
threw it in the trash. Never again! The occult and what numerology truly is, was not
in the article. It was misleading, lika a lot of things.
have a fun and blessed day
Brooke, thanks for commenting. Yes, Numerology does fall under the Psychic umbrella. I’m glad you visited my blog today.
Palmistry or chiromancy is the art of characterization and predicting the future through the research of the hand, also referred to as hand reading, or chirology. The technique is located all over the globe, with various cultural variants. Those who exercise chiromancy are typically called palmists, palm readers, hand readers, hand analysts, or chirologists.
I’ve heard of palmistry, but, not chiromancy. Thanks for commenting.
Numerology does not deal only with the study of numbers but it has been considered as the study of occult science which reflects certain aptitudes and character tendencies as an inherited part of our universe.
HI, I had an encounter with a psychic 2 years ago..I didn’t know she was a one. She told me some things about my life that nobody knew. After I left her place, all I knew was that I lose all the peace I had inside me. She was very courious about my life and was constantly asking me questions. I had to return to her next week and was kind of afraid. I decided to pray a rosary, a powerful weapon against Satan. Next time when I came, she couldn’t ask me any questions (she asked my friend instead). It seems like she lost all her strengh. It was very scary anyway. I never thought people can really be involved in this.
Hi, Hola
So glad you prayed about your experience. Prayer is the best defense against Satan. I’ve never used a rosary before – I’m not Catholic. I’m glad you did not make a habit of visiting that psychic. The entire experience is very scary, indeed.
I called a psychic today and my mom has always told me not to do those types of things. I called today thinkining the lady would be a phony and she told me things that were real. I was shocked after I hung up the phone but immediately prayed and asked god for forgiveness twice after researching and figuring out why it was frowned apon by god. I’ll never do it again and I’m very freaked out. I will trust in god completely like I normally do from now on and never be curious about the future again.
J.R. – just be sure not to do it again. It’s great that you asked the Lord for forgiveness, but, I’ve known some who get addicted to visiting psychics. You don’t want to get addicted and waste your money. Although most psychics are phony, there are some who really do have power, but the power doesn’t come from God. I hope you have a blessed day – why don’t you spend some time reading your Bible. Asking questions about God and Biblical things? It’ll give you something else to focus on. I hope you have a blessed evening!
I stumbled across your blog and I cannot believe the close mindedness and ignorance of these posts. God did not write the bible. HUMANS DID. God did not set limitations or rules on you. HUMANS DID. Religion controls people. Religion hurts and ostrosises people. Religion causes war. HUMANS in powerful positions in churches abuse children. Open your eyes and stop living in fear. Fear was created by these organisations so you don’t ask questions or look outside of the box you’ve been placed in. WAKE UP to the world you are apart of.
Exactly. Thank goodness for your normal comment. Religious people are SO messed up!
Psychics and bible thumpers alike
Anon,
I’m curious…are you an atheist?
I’m psychic. I’m also a Christian. I was born with my gift, and I believe it came from God–not from Satan. I do not use it to predict the future, or, in any way, that would conflict with God’s will. I only use it to help those in need (such as finding a lost child) or to aid in criminal investigations. I will never be convinced, in any way, shape, or form, that my ability is evil.
I can’t say the same for other psychics, especially those who charge over the phone. Yes, some of them could open doors to great evil. Communication with the dead should be avoided, as well as Tarot cards, star readings, mirror gazing, Ouija boards, and other forms of divination–this is what I believe the bible is referring to.
I use none of these things. My ability comes to me naturally in the way of visions and without channeling through any spirit. I merely close my eyes or it comes to me. It’s not something I could stop even if I wanted to.
God would never turn his back on anyone except those who commit the one unforgiveable sin—and that is he or she who: “blasphemes against the Holy Spirit.”
Hi, Betty
Thanks for visiting my blog and for leaving a comment. The Word states we should not visit psychics, however, since your gift is from God, people such as yourself as usually called prophets. From what I can recall, prophesy was the most important spiritual gift referenced by the Apostle Paul.
I agree with you… my gift is not of the devil.
So glad I found this site. I too am a born-again Christian who backslid. My ex and I stopped going to church and we started having major problems in our once-happy relationship. During this time, he started spending less time with me and hanging around a crowd of questionable people.. I also had questionable friends that replaced my church friends and associates. One night after a terrible argument with my ex, I called a “friend” of mine crying uncontrollably. She told me about a psychic site she called and how I should too. Being a Christian, I resisted for a couple of weeks but had gotten so far from God that I gave in. How I wish I never made that first call. The next 2 months of my life became hell. I neglected my children, my work suffered and I spent more than $700 on psychics. What fascinated me was that all of them said the same thing… This man was the one for me but he got off into the wrong crowd and got involved with a “female friend” who was trying to tear us apart. They told me to “give him space” and he’ll come around. He did come around… To text me that he wanted to break up. This sent me farther on a downward spiral and I ended up going to see a highly renowned psychic who then said again that I was supposed to marry this man but this woman friend of his was into voodoo and paid someone to break up or relationship. She put a lot of time and money into it but was only successful “about 2 months” ago. Two months ago was right around the time I started calling psychics. I immediately stopped calling that day. She said she could do more work to remove this woman. I refused. This was farther than I was willing to go into that dark world. It shook me so bad I started back reading my bible, going to church and rededicated my life to The Lord. That was 3 weeks ago. The psychic’s words still haunt me. Last I heard from my ex, he hand this woman are now in a relationship. I will now forever wonder if this was truly the man God had for me and going these psychics opened our relationship up for spiritual attack or if they were all lies. Not sure.. But I’m now picking up the pieces of all of the spiritual damage I’ve done and am doing my best to avoid this “friend” who helped to lead me down this path. She has gone deeper and deeper into this and I refuse to go with her. Please… If you are thinking abut doing this, don’t! Draw closer to God. Pray and give your life fully to Him. That is the only way you can truly have peace about life’s situations. God Bless
Hi, Keilan
Glad to hear that you stopped calling the psychic. Sorry things did not work out with your ex.
It’s hard to heed God’s call at times, and we sometimes falter. We just need to keep our eyes on the Lord and trust in Him.
I’ve had equally good and bad experiences with psychics and I myself can randomly pick up on things to do with people.
I’m non religious (and for reasons being that I witnessed my own father become brain washed, slip into hell being glue to his Christian faith it almost tore up our family as he became reliant on the bible rather then using common sense to make realistic decisions). So I’m afraid to understand the ‘rule’ around putting your faith in GOD.
Back to my main point, I think we make our lives what it is because we ‘choose’ certain paths like trekking a hedge maze. You go left it leads you one way, go right it leads you another. Sad fact is people who rely on a holy book to dictate their hearts desire is just as delusional as someone addicted to psychics to help make their decisions because at the end of the day only YOU yourself bring yourself closer or further to your purpose in life…. are YOU making the ‘choice’ to move in the direction you want to be in or are you allowing yourself to become the bad situation you are in. If you reach fulfilment the outcome was because YOU made it happen, GOD didn’t whisper in your ear….. Psychic readings are subjective and never set in stone…SO in short – ‘Listen to your own intuition. You are the student learning many lessons, who becomes the master of your own destiny’.
During my later teens I fell for a boy, but things were never aligned for us. I was dating or he was and we never met when each were available. Read between the lines of sin, sin, sin.
The last time I saw him I was drunk, he was playing in a band and after the gig a lot of things came to me in a familiar way.
I told him how when and where he’d die and even that he would have a new bike and come into money and all sorts of random details I can’t recall all of them, but he did not believe me, I did everything I could think of to get him to believe me and left it at ‘well just don’t drive there for 3 months, no big deal and call me crazy.
He was gone before the 3 months were up, where when and how I had seen and felt it.
I can not forgive myself knowing that his younger brother is guilted having heard my drunken words. And I can not forgive myself for knowing that I may have altered something, even if I made his last thoughts more terrible.
He died on impact.
It’s been 15 years and I think about him all the time and his brother too, who’s life was irreparably changed when he gave up his career and he has become a more negative personality.
I don’t know why it came to me, but my grandmother had died after a very, very similar accident on the same road a few miles from his death.
I also had a very troubled childhood and still struggle to believe I have a mother that loves me at all.
I had many bad things happen to me in my younger years and I often wonder if all of my sins brought this on me, by my own doing.
I still ‘foresee’ things, but never tell people, I have at least learned that lesson.
Hi, Jo
Thanks for visiting my blog.
So sorry you had to go through this. question – are you a Christian? Have you prayed about this?
I know, prayer doesn’t always “work” the way we want, but, just wondered if you’d tried.
May the Lord bless you today.
I went to a psychic out
of curiosity. Many people in my town swore that this particular psychic was the
real deal. My parents, who were abusive, had recently passed and I had things I
wanted to say to them. So I made my appointment and went not sure what to
expect. This woman blew me away. She was getting real information and told me
everything I wanted to hear. I went to her three times and took a class with her
called praying for lost souls. At first I thought she was all about God. She
gave us prayers to say that prayed to angles of love and light. Later I learned
that satin was the angel of light! Anyway after praying these prayers for my
parents for a few months and my visits to the psychic I had a paranormal event.
The first was a dream about my mother. I brushed it off as just a dream. Later I
heard the sound of big wings in the back of my suv. I thought a bird had gotten
into my truck but nothing was there. The sound was loud and clear. There were
no birds around the outside of my truck. I sent the psychic a text saying,
“Something really strange just happened, I heard wings in my truck lol.” She
sent a text back saying that doesn’t sound good. Again I kind of brushed it off
because I didn’t quite believe that I was having paranormal events happen to me.
The next event scared the crap out of me. I was in my office and heard footsteps
walking though my house. It sounded as if my husband had come home from work but
he didn’t come into my office to say hello and that was highly unusual. After a
few minutes I got up from my desk and walked towards the kitchen yelling his
name. When I got into the kitchen a voice said, “What” but no one was there. I
walked around every room in the house and outside. No one was home yet I heard
this mans voice loud and clear. The TV or radio were not on. I started to feel
unsafe in my home. Always on edge. Fear was starting to take over. I told my
husband about the voice. I don’t think he believed me. I went back to the
psychic who tried to clear me. But the clearing would only last a few days
before the thing would come back. She told me to buy a white crystal for extra
protection. I bulked at the idea thinking a cross should be enough. Stones were
of the occult. Mind you I knew hardly anything about the bible at the time. I
hoped there was a God but I didn’t know for sure. I went home and things
continued to get worse. One night before bed my husband said, “I need to tell
you something. I heard the voice.” The voice told him to “SHUT UP!” It happened
in the same place in the house and it was a man’s voice. My husband was home
alone and there were no TV or radios on. I’m a normal middle class mother and
wife, I treat people well, I’m honest, I work hard, don’t drink excessively or
do drugs, yet after going to a psychic a few times I had something evil around
me. This demon started making the lights flicker, opened locked doors, threw
things in the house and attacked me while I was sleeping one night. My husband,
sister in law and niece witnessed some of these events. I was terrified and
wouldn’t get up to pee at night because I didn’t want to walk through the house.
I wouldn’t stay home alone. One night I started reading the bible online.
Looking for ways to rid myself of this thing. I read that I needed to be saved
and then I could command it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. I was ready
to be saved! I knew that the spirit world was very, very real and if there was
evil there was God! I broke down crying and asked to be saved then I commanded
it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ. I felt it leave and it hasn’t been
back. I now go to a Baptist church and I look forward to going! God is real. So
is satin. Read your bible.Read what it says about the occult. I know all of
this is hard to believe for those who have never experienced a paranormal event.
I get that. I wouldn’t have believed it before it happened to me. But it is
real. There is a spirit world going on all around us that we can’t see. We
aren’t equipped to deal with it. It would terrify us. I urge every one to ask
to be saved and join a good christian
Church! 🙂 The bible was the only thing
that gave me correct information on how to get that thing out of my house for
good. Nothing the psychic did worked. I have to believe that other things in the
bible are just as accurate.
Hi, Anonymous
I think your comment is an awesome testimony for those who are searching to remove themselves from the occult. Jesus is the only answer! It’s spooky, and it made me sit up and read what you had to say. I’m sure there are others out there who will appreciate your truthful, life-saving insight.
Thanks so much for posting on my blog. You’d mentioned the white crystal? A friend of mine visited a psychic when we went on a trip to Virginia Beach – over two decades ago. He went to a psychic and I was able to watch through the window. He was holding some kind of rock or something while the psychic gave him a reading. She had him hooked. He rushed out of the psychic’s place, stating that he needed to get more $$$ in order to pay the psychic to tell him more. When he returned, I watched through the window again, and two young ladies approached and watched also. One of them went in to see the psychic and I ran into this young lady later. She said that the psychic had told her to buy some sort of rock/crystal, that she needed that crystal.
Right on!
i’m conducting research on those in recovery of ringing psychics (2015), please contact me Dr. Shepherd at rm.shepherd@auckland.ac.nz happy to send my first publication to anyone interested. kind regards, Dr. Shepherd
Hello everyone please help me on suggestions!
I’m still involved with the psychic for over like a month and a half! Me,my wife and sister in law visited the psychic because another sister in law 18year old fell in love with older man around35-38 yrs old! They have been seeing each other for like 2 yrs and the family always try to prevent that to talk to her stop he’s not the right guy for you! She would never listen and she left the house than next few days I and the girls visited the psychic around neighborhood I found her online she had good reviews! We came there she did on me crystal ball reading where I placed my hands I told her the problem she left the house and in love with the guy! Psychic said that guy is evil and he put a curse on her and we need to remove it! I paid right the way $1300 like she said! Psychic said I have to work with candles overnight etc.. She said she never go sleep until 7-8 am! Said that witch hours are 12-3 am! She said we need to do the egg, I went to buy white eggs and also said I need $3k dollars and ok we did the egg and got black hair she said its process removing evil and that’s good we got it, after egg she told us go clence yourself with shower from head to toes! I did like 4 eggs all the time paying $3k for each time doing an egg! Than I did 2 more eggs alone in the room paying $4k each in that first egg I got black hair and 2nd got a lot of black stuff and blood around it she said its Jesus blood gave it to us it’s a miracle! My sister in law did 2 eggs also paying same money $3-4k each also black stuff she got! The psychic told us she saw a snake will be comming so it came to her in church etc and they removed it than a 2nd snake came to her friend inside the car! Hmm she didn’t want any snakes come to us because we wouldn’t handle it so she told us to pray to snakes to come on them! She mentioned she uses everything from Jerusalem the candles etc… Also she said another snake is comming she saw it around the candle and said she will bring the snake and we need to torture it and burn it! That’s what we did! The guy gave the 18yrs old a ring and psychic told us go buy the same ring or close similar and we did $11k which we opened credit line! We have to give it to psychic and she said she will bless it and we will switch rings etc.. The 18yrs old does comes and see us often and would spend time with us! Btw the guy is ugly and she is very beautiful and I know she would never choose a guy like that that’s why we went to psychic cause something might be wrong! Well the last egg we did and removing the evil by showing the black stuff, psychic said that’s good cause now the 18yrs old girl the switch will come off and she will come home but she making excuses we trying to get ring back and she says its at a church! Hmm we are thinking now it’s a scam etc.. Because we don’t see any big changes for 18yrs to come back home she only visits us that’s all! We found some coin in 18yrs old car at the trunk it’s an angel with a hand pointing down and other hand looks like it’s 2 snakes! Psychic told us go barriet where we burned the snake in forest ok so we did and psychic said I’ll go there in 2 hours and check coin if it changed color or it’s blank image! Next day I went to check on coin nothing was touched and I called her she said I got good news the coin is blank and said call me back in hours I’ll explain more! I didn’t call went home sleep! Btw that coin the father in law found around the house and gave it to 18yrs old daughter just to wear maybe a protection but not sure if it was the same coin etc..! Psychic before said its not the same coin we are like ok! Well we spent like $36k and now the ring we will try to get it back not sure how so we can return it to store! All of it is $47k! Today morning I txted the psychic she said her friend saw another snake around candle and will explain us everything today later on! We are thinking its already a scam etc.. But not sure what’s why I need suggestions etc… I told the sisters I’m not giving any more money and we will try to get the ring back to return to store!! Please help anyone
Maksym, sounds like you have a lot more money to spend at your leisure than I do! Stop giving your money to the psychic and pray to Jesus instead! You can’t go wrong!
I do understand your frustrations regarding 18 year old being involved with a 35 year old. big age gap and 35 year old would appear to have ulterior motive! Psychic is not helping you! Pray to Jesus now!
Yes, but this person was dealing with Romani Gypsy fortuneteller and set scams, ie the corrupted eggs. These are dangerous people mentally, spiritually and financially!
The egg thing is a well known set scam Gypsies do. They tamper with the egg in advance! This type of activity is highly dangerous in every way.
Contact NABI and go to the police if the “psychic” contacts you. Pray to God, find a good church, study the Bible, pray! These people are not psychics! Plus there are no real psychics.
Jeremiah 14:14 KJV
You and your family are being scammed by Romani Gypsy fortunetellers, who are using a series of set scams on you. The eggs are tampered with, truly. This is a set thing these criminal people do. Theft by deception. There is the financial scam. Then even worse is a kind of rape of the mind.
Do not return to them. Pray and find a good church. If the “psychic” contacts you, go to the police. Contact National Association of Bunko Investigators,NABI.
Not psychics. These people are not psychics. There are presenting prophetic people but there are no true real psychics. But these Romani Gypsy fortuneteller people are dangerous financially, mentally and spiritually. Ask God for protection and deliverance!
Hello My name is Sage and i am really gad i stumbeld unto this website. I have been through alot this year – literaly hell and back as i would like to put it and still do. Right now i am pondering if my anxiety and depression is from a phsychic attack since i spent the who summer calling psychics! I mean i have called over 20 psychics and i fee my life is in ruin. I called them bc i wanted to know where my marriage was headed. I felt as if i was being called to leave my husband bc he wasnt the man for me. from the psychcs i got so many mixed replies but the ones that haunt me was a famous one (to the Celebs) who told me i was waiting my time we were not going to have kids and that he was going to remarry. I contacted astrologers who also tod me that i had divorce in my birth chart. I became so sick that i literally needed to be hospitalized. i am so ful of anger and jealousy. I dont want him to find someone else and remarry but i dont know how to stay married now bc i feel trapped. I have recenlt comitted myself to God but i really need help to know what is his will for me. And i really need help to get the thoughts and psychic hold on me right now. Any advice you can give me would be really appricited.
Hi Lucy,
How are things going?
Have you worked through this?
Sorry got your name wrong. Sage.
It’s very simple.
Don’t go to a psychic.
Period.
Psychics are Frauds Liars and Con Artists. Predators. That’s All they are. I had 6 different readings with 6 different Psychics:Palm Readers, Angel Psychics, Tarot Card Readers, Mediums, and all of them were Liars.waste of money. And a lot of them get their information from demons Which harrass, stalk, and terrorize you. Watch Laura Maxwell’s Testimony on UTube. Read your bible, stay faithful to God, Follow Jesus and you won’t have to deal with all of this CRAP!!! Psychics are portals to the dark side of the spirit world. STAY AWAY FROM PSYCHICS!!!!
Hey, Lucy
Got it. BTW, until I’d read your post, I’d never heard of an angel psychic before!
I think that there are many scam artists and quacks in the world of sorrow as Jesesus calls it.I am priveleged to work as a Counsellor and Spiritual Healer and assist many hundreds of people over the years.I am a born again Christiaan and I dont let people down or tell them what they want to hear only what they need to hear ..and no one has ever complained once. Why was I born with special gifts..why am I blessed?I think it would be a crime not to use our god given gifts and to squander them.I am also highly trained and qualified in Counselling, social work and Natural Therapies. If people were more careful about choosing who they visitted for help then they would be less disappointed.I guess we only get what we deserve.Put your faith in god not in psychics, doctors, any one else who is merely mortal and lets face it,prone to err.
Thanks for that thoughtful response, Crystal Rose.
When I was in the 3rd grade, I was called to the guidance counselor’s office for some reason. I don’t remember why. What I do remember is that she told me that she was a palm reader. She asked to see my hands. As a very obedient child, I complied. I asked her what she saw. She studied the lines on my hand and said she could see things like if I would have children in the future. Naturally, I asked her if I was going to have children and how many. And, she said that she did not see any lines for children.
I don’t believe in any of that stuff. And, I know that God is so much more powerful. But, the memory of this moment has kind of stuck with me and weirds me out.
I am 33 and having fertility issues with my husband.
Hi, Lynne
Thx much for commenting. It’s highly strange that the woman in the guidance counselor’s office told you that she was a palm reader. I wonder if she said that to most students and then did readings on the spur of the moment. I hope you have a blessed day, and I just said a prayer regarding your fertility issues.
“When my boyfriend and I broke up I was completely lost. A good friend of mine recommended that I have a love spell cast to bring him back by Lord Azeez spell temple. I thought that idea of a love spell was strange, but was willing to give it a shot. When I contacted Lord. Azeez for the first time I was scared because I was not sure if what they did went against my religion. he assured me that they only use traditional voodoo which is safe and has no side effects. I felt a little better and decided to do the return lover spell. I did not think that it would work considering my ex and his whole family hated me and told me never to contact them again. Within 3days he showed up at my job and brought flowers to me. He said that he missed me more than he could describe and decided that the good out weighed the bad. We got back together and our relationship has been better the second time around. I have to give vadoo spell temple all of the credit in the world for helping us get back to a better place than where we began. The new found love that he has for me is incredible and I can’t wait to see what the future holds!” he can also help you his email is lordazeez1990@hotmail. com
Cecelia, thank you so much for sharing your story,I cannot tell you how relieved I am when I came across your Blog. I would like to share what happened to me. Before I begin we have sold our house and will be moving to a coastal town within the next 3 weeks, I promise you from the time our house went on the Market a month ago till Monday everything went smooth the Estate Agent, The Lawyers, The New Buyers have been phenomenal until yesterday!!I feel absolutely ashamed and terrible. Yesterday 27th September 2016 I came across this Clairvoyant ‘Alisha’ this was the first time I have ever did this, I had to type in my name and birthdate, she sent me a message I am going to be wealthy, etc. the list is so long I cant remember all the good which was going to come to me and then she said there is danger ahead and she would like to help me, she will be sending me another form to fill in and help me to overcome the danger waiting for me. Within minutes the e-mail document arrived for me to fill in I was sceptical and left it alone, something inside me said no don’t do it!! It must have been 3 hours later when my husband came home from work we quickly went to the shops, when we came back my house was the only house in the street without power, my husband checked the meter box and found there was something wrong with the geyser which was responsible for tripping the power, this morning he spent the whole day trying to repair the geyser and eventually he had to contact the Bank where we have household insurance, they are on their way to our house to repair the geyser. I was beside myself I deleted Alisha’s second request. I prayed to God and asked forgiveness for what I have done by consulting this clairvoyant, and then came across your Blog, thank you so much I already feel better. I agree wholeheartedly with you these physic and clairvoyant’s are dangerous……
My goodness Liz! I’m so glad to hear that you didn’t re-connect with that psychic! Most psychics don’t have any powers – they’re phonies just trying to take our money. The Lord was helpful in guiding you away from that psychic!
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for leaving that comment!
I need to start blogging about the Bible again. I’ve been so swamped that I haven’t been taking the time to do that as much as I should. It’s enlightening to hear that folks like to read my blog posts!
Oh, if you like to read, I have a free Christian romance e-book available called Raspberry Kisses – download a copy if you wish: http://ow.ly/TNjPm

I love talking to folks. I love talking about the Bible, food, family….just about any great topic! 🙂
I have met Pedro five (5) months ago and I felt since the very first moment this is the love of my life. The first month he was indifferent to the situation even I felt he was behind all women except me. I asked myself: Does he know that I exist? I was feeling terrible about this because deep in my mind I knew he was the right person for me. My friend, Julia told me: There is this Africa voodoo, he can help you. I was skeptical at the beginning to be honest because I never believe in these types of things. I decided to contact Africa voodoo, and he was very sweet, and he knew also that Pedro was meant to be my soul mate. he sent me a Love Spell that worked in 3days he invited me to dinner, then to the disco, then to the theater…..now he is just mine!! Thank you so much!!! this is the email of the spell caster
No, I won’t be contacting the spell caster. You have no idea how long Pedro will belong to you. Go to church and seek help! Read your Bible and pray daily!
Cecelia i hope this helps someone to decide not to see a psychic. I saw one when i was 19. My husband left and i wanted to know if he would come back. I did not know atthe time it was wrong. 40 years later all that he said came to pass.i have had a terrible life. I have tried to follow the Lord for 35 years now. When i became a Christian i asked for forgivenss for the sin of necromancing. But it did not stop the things from happening like he said. I have been prayed over for it and thought i was delivered. But it just keeps going on. Please dont ever listen to anything they have to say. I do not know if my life wouod have been different. I have tried to make wise decisions. God Bless and Good Health.
Hi, CRS
I honestly don’t know what to say. I believe you need to keep reading your Bible and praying about it. Perhaps go into ministry, telling others about your psychic visit, all that’s come to pass and tell others that it’s not wise to visit.
I realize a lot of psychics are frauds, but, there are some who can really see the future. My mom was telling me about my dad’s sister. Something that happened a long time ago. My dad’s sister (my aunt) went to a carnival (or fair or something). She didn’t go to a psychic, but, was standing just outside the tent. They psychic came out and saw her standing there. The psychic said, “I know about W.L.”
That scared my aunt! W.L. was a child her mom had had but the child had died! My aunt was young at the time, probably in her teens.
I just said a prayer for you. I hope you are able to find help soon!
Hi Celia,
Thanks for starting this thread. I don’t know where to begin. I have been in a bit of turmoil and stupidly, I contacted 4 psychics over three days.
All told me the same thing. That the man I am currently interested in doesn’t care about me and has a another woman and that I should absolutely forget about him. They also said that my career would change in a few months and I will flourish in my new job and find another man who will help me achieve the high goals I dream of.
The problem is, this advice is contrary to what I feel. My career is what is stressing me out and I actually want to take a sabbatical and step away from the job, not push myself to become a high achiever. I don’t know if I have a future with this man but he’s lovely. However these psychic were all SOOOO adamant that he is wrong and insistent that I should not entertain the thought.
Does anyone know if spirits can disseminate the wrong information deliberately? I was suicidal and had even planned my method of death. This was the type of information that would have tipped me over the edge.
I prayed, spoke to mum and am currently asking god to forgive me.
I should never have done this. I feel foolish that I did but I was desperate.
Hi, Trish,
Thanks for commenting. I’m by no means an expert on this topic. As a matter of fact, I recall one of the first commenters getting somewhat angry with me for not being thorough enough with my post.
I published this blog post five years ago and I’m still getting comments. I’ll try my best to answer your questions:
>>>I contacted 4 psychics over three days.
My response:
I can understand wanting to see a psychic. I’m my no means advocating it since it goes against my beliefs, but, I do know what it feels like to be in turmoil. You want to KNOW what’s going to happen; especially if you are worried to death about something. When those moments come up, we just have to trust God and pray about it. Do the best we can on our own, without going to psychics.
>>>The problem is, this advice is contrary to what I feel…these psychic were all SOOOO adamant that he is wrong and insistent that I should not entertain the thought. Does anyone know if spirits can disseminate the wrong information deliberately?
My response:
I’ve heard that most psychics are fakes/con-artists. However, I do believe some of them do have some power to tell future – and they may even be able to tell you about your past? However, that power doesn’t come from God. I’ve known folks who have gotten addicted to going to psychics, they keep going back again and again, spending lots of money. I’d imagine the psychic is telling them something that keeps them coming back – perhaps there are kernels of truth – very little, and that’s what keeps people coming back? Not sure.
>>>I was suicidal and had even planned my method of death. This was the type of information that would have tipped me over the edge.
I prayed, spoke to mum and am currently asking god to forgive me.
I should never have done this. I feel foolish that I did but I was desperate.
My response: Again, I can understand why you did that. Not it’s time to put it aside and focus on something else. Hey do you read your Bible? Try reading it from cover to cover. Actually start reading the New Testament, word for word. Jot down questions you have (I do this all the time) – not that you’d be able to find an answer to everything, but, it’s just a good thing to do. Become rooted in the word. Maybe even find some folks online to chat about what you’re reading your Bible. Gives you something else to focus on! Feel free to email me whenever you’d like! Leave some more comments on my blog, too! Have a great Thanksgiving!
Hello,
I read through this blog post and through the comments. I too have made the same mistake of talking to psychics. Back in 2011, I had become severely depressed. I was very down and felt like I didn’t want to live anymore. This continued on into 2012 as I was still depressed even with the assistance of medication and a faith based counselor (who my family and I now know was not genuine. I would pray but with weakness as I fell deeper into the depression. During this time period I had met this one man who emotionally abused me for the next year.Other things started to crumble in my life, my graduate school career started to fall apart. I had figured since everything was falling apart what was the point of life. I felt like I was not being heard and was left alone. I called various psychics for the next year trying to ask for reassurance in my life. They told me a lot of lies which should be left in the dust. I realized that this was not healthy and that I had been wasting time and money. As I think about the past 5 years, I know all the events that occurred were a spiritual attack to distract me from God. The Devil saw me at low point in my life and made me question whether or not God was really here for me. The Devil attacks people who he knows are close to God (as I was prior to 2011).
The past week has been tough on me since I lost my 4 year old bunny. She was my child and my world. Even with her passing I encountered some very negative things. The ER vet for example was very condescending and mocked my grief. I have called a grief support line and a grief counselor to help with the pain I am feeling. I was told by one of the hotline workers that my rabbit was a angel from God to help me with my depression. I truly believe that because she did help me so much through these painful times. When I wouldn’t communicate with my family I communicated with her. I do sorely miss her.
I realize that God was with me all long. I will pray for forgiveness and thanks. His love for us is greater than everything else.
Hi, Anna
So sorry you have been going through all of this. So sorry to hear about your bunny passing. Try focus on reading your Bible, even writing down questions about things that you might not understand (I do this a lot). It will give you something to focus on – also keep everything in prayer. I hope things work out for you.
There’s fake psychic and there’s legit one. Sorry to hear your experience with the pseudo one. From one blog that I’ve read the fake one is certain that they can connect with your loved ones, which is not the case. A good psychic will tell you if its a good day to get a connection with the spirit or not. And that’s the truth, its not available all time. So if a psychic tells you she can talk to your deceased loved ones, better run!
Hello i am here to spread this good news to the entire world on how i got my ex love back.I was going crazy when my love left me for another girl last month,But when i meet a friend that introduce me to Dr Oniha the great messenger to the oracle that he serve,I narrated my problem to Dr Oniha about how my ex love left me and also how i needed to get a job in a very big company. He only said to me that i have come to the right place were i will be getting my heart desire without any side effect. He told me what i need to do,After it was been done,In the next 2 days,My love called me on the phone and was saying sorry for living me before now and also in the next one week after my love called me to be pleading for forgiveness,I was called for interview in my desired company were i needed to work as the managing director..I am so happy and overwhelmed that i have to tell this to the entire world to contact Dr Oniha at the following email address onihaspelltemple@gmail.com and get all your problem solve..No problem is too big for him to solve..Contact him direct on onihaspelltemple@gmail.com. and get your problems solve like me.
I can’t believe i talked to psychics and I really feel I became a whore for it I just hope God can forgive me and look over my life which he is the head of my life
My niece has turned to psycic stuff and her world has totally fallen apart. My friend has followed her she is now anorexic, self harming and her world has fallen apart.I pray constantly to get them back
Hi, Sue
I just said a prayer for them. Please keep me informed as to how they are doing. I hope they heal soon. It’s so sad how psychics negatively affect people’s lives. Thanks so much for commenting on my blog.
Hi I like to share my experience. I know this will sound pretty trash, but I have to be honest with myself. I been dating my bf for 6 years. We are high school sweethearts. I love him dearly now than before. I believe my bf put a love spell on me but that’s another story which I had my reasons for thinking that way. My bf family I didn’t know are into witchcraft, but he still claims he’s not. Do I doubt he did? Yes. Truth will tell in time. Ok, so I liked the cousin before I meet my bf I didn’t know they were family until later like end of the school year that’s when I and my bf was already together. Skipping foward we are 20 and still together. The cousin has moved back home now we all hang out together. My feelings for him wasn’t as strong until he moved back. Out the blue I am constantly thinking of him. I want to boldly be with him. This is my man cousin i can’t believe these feelings. I never felt this strong feelings. I had a crush on him years ago I was head over I was only 15. My bf cousin mom always staring at me they give me this strange vibe sometimes I can’t put my finger on it yet. Like I said they mess with that witchcraft and I know for sure they like to keep it hidden. When I found out it was because I heard his sister praying to something she was mumbling her word. She speak spanish her accent is a thick she’s dominican so it was hard for ne to make out what she is saying. It sound so evil and like she was trying to be quite with it. I finally made a step to call a psychic to talk about these feelings I was having for the cousin. I wanted to know did they put anything on me, which they try to say he did and I need 100 buck. I did not pay. I knew I was going to pray against him I just needed the answers. The psychics I talked to all told me this guy have deep feelings for me and want to be with me. It’s even oblivious when I am around. He don’t even talk to me much, but stares at me. I was offended because I had these feelings for him and he didn’t speak to me. I was falling hard and almost didn’t care on the low. I am glad I have the info I have to pray against this, but I question is there magic on me really? or am I being attack spiritually by the psychics? I feel so drained, I don’t even want to do nothing nor work. I just think of him all day. It’s like I get urges to think of him constantly. I get up out of bed. I get closer to my bf. I tell him how much I love him. I force him into my mind. It always calms me. I walk with him or by myself. I begin praying asking god please help me get over his cousin. One thing for sure god always remove people That’s not good for us. I know in my heart he will handle this situation. This cousin is no good for me. He is a good person but not for me. Plus this is family. I am awaken but still struggling with whatever is attacking me. I am done with psychics. When I do get the urge to question life I just pray. I really don’t want to be liking this man. It’s so out of character of me. Don’t let these psychics speak in your life idc if the info is correct at the time being. Leave them people be. You will fall into a spiritual depression mode under whatever else is attacking you. Thank you for letting me share. “All things are done through Christ Jesus who strengthen me.” Amen.
Hi, Onna
Thanks for the response to my blog post. You are correct, all things are done through Christ Jesus.
I am so glad I found this site. I have been at an all time low in my life thinking of divorce. I’ve been raised a Christian and oddly There has been past guys talking to me and encouraging me to break it off. I thought they were friends. My husband and I have been so angry with each other. I started reading on a psychic and felt tempted. But I contacted my aunt who is an avid Christian and she advised not to. At this point I started reading the bible and looking for help and suddenly my marriage is on the right path. Weird and all too eery how when we are at a low we look to psychics but not God? I was told that when you let in the psychics you’re opening a bad door. It wasn’t till I read an experience by a user way above in th thread that made me reconsider. It’s better to tuand to god and avoid the devil for answers. Thank you to all for sharing your experiences as it’s helped me go back to god.
Hi, Sandra
So glad I was able to help! I’m also glad that those who commented were able to help you, too. I’m fearful of psychics. I know it’s wrong and there are SOME who do have powers but they do not come from God, that’s for sure. I’m so glad that you were able to work things out with your husband, too!
Merry Christmas!
Hi, I know this blog is pretty old, but I need a little advice. I spoke to many psychic’s online and nothing went wrong until one unknowingly used tarots for my reading. I feel like from then forward I was screwed in my relationship. I should mention I am a woman of God, but respectfully not religion as I grew up in a religious household. Some how I knew it wasn’t right to try and do but I did it anyway and from some of the comments on here I can truthfully say I became addicted spending hundreds I could have put to use, but deep down knew they weren’t all honest. One woman said I would have one boy and a few years later another when I am currently pregnant with a girl (known through ultrasound and blood test) so that kinda reminded me that it’s not always true what they say.
I just want to repent to god for my wrong doings entrusting someone I never met to look into my future I’m already always stressing about nothing due to ADHD and these readings have not helped my mind settle in any kind of way.
Are there any prophets on here who can give a word of advice if someone feels like they went to the wrong source for readings? As well as if they never want to do it again…
Hi, Sade
I can honestly say that I don’t personally know any prophets. However, if you really truly want to repent, and are truly sorry for visiting the psychics, then, all you have to say is, “Lord, I’m giving this over to you. Please forgive me. I repent.” Just say that, with your mouth, and your heart and you’re forgiven.
Don’t stress so much about the future. Enjoy life day to day. I know we need to be concerned about our future, but, we don’t need to visit psychics to make us feel better. From what I’ve heard, most psychics are frauds, so you’re wasting your money by visiting them in the first place. Take care and have a nice Valentine’s Day!

Hi everyone I’m Judy from Dallas County Tx., My husband who has left me for 7 months because of his new found mistress is back, We have been married for 14 years with 3 beautiful kids. I love my husband so much but I could not stop him. I need our marriage to work, I have read countless books on how to please your husband but none worked.
I suffered alone with our kids until someone tweet on twitter about how she got his cheating boyfriend back and now they are married. I contacted her on twitter and she told me that I should give(w w w . l o v e s ol u t i o n t e m p l e. c o m) a chance to help me bring back my husband using spell casting. I am not a fan of things like that but just for the sake of my marriage to work, and I also do not want to raise our kids in a broken hope home as a single mother. I used the spell service to bring back my husband. I wrote to the love solution temple to seek for help on how to release my husband from the charms of the other woman.
I could not believe it when I saw my husband back with his parents to beg me. This was the next day after the spell has being done. My husband Peter was crying on my feet begging me to please forgive him for abandoning our family.
