I hope all of you have been doing well.

I’m not Catholic. For those of you who are – I’m sorry to hear about the death of Pope Francis. He deeply inspired and cared for others. He will be missed by countless people around the world.

Easter

I dyed Easter eggs last Saturday. I haven’t done this in years. I will make egg salad with the eggs today. I did it the old-fashioned way – using food coloring, vinegar and boiled water. If you dyed eggs, what did you do with them? Do you have any favorite recipes that use hard-boiled eggs?

Grandniece’s Birthday!

The Candy Beach SeriesI’m still in the midst of trying to develop fresh, new covers for my Candy Beach Series! As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, marketing is tough, and every so often, authors may need to rebrand their book covers! Beach scenes work really great with romance novels. Thanks so much for last week’s feedback! Most of you, as well as those on social media, chose this image as your favorite:

used the image above to create a new cover for Chocolate Dreams. I then found more images – similar to the one above – to use for the other books in the series. Here are the samples of covers for books #1 and #2:

Caramel Kisses​Caramel Kisses, Book 0 of The Candy Beach Series, also has a new cover! The hero and heroine in Caramel Kisses are almost 70 years old!

Writers’ Retreat

I attended a writers’ retreat at the Marriott Hotel near Dulles Airport last weekend. I often receive questions from people who would like to write a book. Whenever I’m approached about my writing journey, I always encourage my fellow scribes to seek out a group of writers. Meeting with other writers can be therapeutic and can also provide a wealth of information that can be used as you write your next novel. Here’s some pics from the retreat!
